Career Development Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all strategies and activities related to implementation of Pintaria’s career and employment programs with the goal of helping students and alumni secure professional jobs upon graduation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with businesses and vocational partners to increase vocational certification attainment, internships, and employment opportunities for graduates.
  • Collaborate with university and training provider partners to infuse curriculum with feedback from industries and job training experiences.
  • Coordinate business engagement, career fairs, outreach, and other strategies to promote services and maintain employment placement and vocational training relationships.
  • Oversee assessment, career coaching (including job readiness, resume development, interviewing techniques), creation of an individual plan, and development of a comprehensive job search.
  • Develop and update office publications, including web page materials and other online resources.
  • Manage and provide professional development for career services staff and collaborate with other program staff to maintain integrated service processes and program improvements.
  • Produce monthly reports and assist with program analysis to ensure best practices.
  • Manage annual departmental budget.

Core Required Skills/Experience:

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Candidate with a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in career development in a higher education environment, job and career related web portal (employer acquisition), or relatively similar environment required.
  • Data driven.

  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Self-starter, desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open minded, creative, innovative and smart with a quick intellect.
  • Excellent professional writing, presentation, and communication, capable of conducting technical discussions in English, and great on keeping key stakeholders and others posted with appropriate levels of detail in a timely manner.
  • Previous work experience or willingness to work in a start-up environment.
  • Effective collaborator in a team work environment.
  • Strong management skill to deal with work assignments and meet deadlines under an aggressive schedule.
  • Problem solver with strong innovation skills.
